Welcome to S. Stephen's Church!
S. Stephen’s is an Episcopal parish in the Diocese of Rhode Island and is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion.
Located in the midst of Brown University, we serve the communities of Providence and beyond.
S. Stephen’s has stood within the Anglo-Catholic tradition since our founding, and so the Mass or the Eucharist is at the center of our common life, with ancient and timeless ceremonial used to draw attention to the Living God in our very midst.
If you are considering visiting us, please know how welcome you are in this community of faith! We are young and old, rich and poor, married, single, and divorced, straight and gay, confident in our faith and full of questions.
But the thing we share is a love of Jesus, and a desire to grow in love of God, neighbor, and self.
The center of our common life is worship, and we hope you will join us for a Sunday mass at 8:00 or at 10:00, or at one of our weekday services.
